Our Story:

The Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund was recently revamped and renamed. In the early 2000’s the Bemidji School District brought the Lumberjack Foundation to Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF) to manage its funds.

 

As a regional community foundation, NMF’s mission is to promote philanthropy. NMF has more than 400 component funds operating under its nonprofit status; and all funds are making the region a better place. 

 

Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund’s purpose is to enhance the educational opportunities of the students, staff, educational programs and institutions of ISD #31, including but not limited to post-secondary scholarship funds, program restricted endowments, faculty improvement programs, and capital equipment acquisition.

 

There has been significant growth in the fund’s assets over the years - thanks to community members who want to enhance education opportunities in Bemidji. The Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund is a component fund of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation which supports the mission of providing classroom resources to local educators.
